Five Space World
What We Design
The name is intentional. Every city is held together by five kinds of space — where knowledge is kept, where communities gather, where people learn, where work happens, and where commerce moves. We design all five.
Our Approach
We believe that civic and cultural architecture carries a special responsibility — to speak not just to its present users but to future generations. Every Five Space World project begins with a question: what endures?
We design at the scale of institutions — cultural centres, civic halls, libraries, and infrastructure — spaces that become part of the city's identity.
Concrete that shows its formwork. Stone that carries the quarry. Timber that remembers the forest. We never disguise what a building is made of.
Trends corrode. Geometry endures. Our formal language is rooted in proportional systems that have proven themselves across centuries.
Every building exists in a community. We spend as much time listening to those who will inhabit our buildings as we do drawing them.
The Practice
Five Space World was founded on the belief that architecture is the most public of arts. Unlike a painting or a poem, a building cannot be avoided — it occupies the shared world, shaping the experience of everyone who passes through or near it.
Our work spans all five spaces of civic life — cultural institutions, community buildings, educational campuses, corporate workplaces, and commercial architecture. We approach each project as a long-term investment in the places and communities we serve.
